When spring starts peeping its little green shoots up through the earth, I get the urge to wear a new perfume. The fragrance doesn’t have to be light or floral, but it must make me feel the pure joy of spring after a long, cold winter. The first hints of green, the sight of a fragrant lily of the valley when arctic blasts are still turning my fingers blue, and the first chirp of a finch … these are the things that bring a smile to my face and a bounce to my (rubber boot–clad) feet. That’s what I want in my spring fragrances, especially when the winter is still not gone in april! So I had been searching for a perfume which comes up to my expectations for months now.
And today I found it: L'eau de Chloé. This composition, created by Michel Almairac, features sparkling citrus accords reminiscent of refreshing lemonade, accords of rose petals and natural distilled rose water that give a dewy character to the fragrance, and warm and elegant veil provided by patchouli. This fresh and fruity fragrance brings some light into that dark "spring" and let me feel fresh and free. I really hope spring won't be a long time coming any more...
